2012 Lexus IS-F


Following the recent announcement about the IS-F 2012 in Europe, Lexus has released details of soft updates the series to the U.S. market.
The three repeats of the IS series, including the sedan, convertible and high performance IS-F, remained virtually unchanged for the new model year as improvements are limited to the color characteristics and equipment.
More specifically, the IS sedan receive a palette of pink, pearl gray and hazy smoky granite mica replaces Agate Fire and Frost Mica Glacier Pearl replaces, while the IS convertible, pearl gray exterior nebula replaces smoky granite mica.
Both the sedan and hardtop convertible are offered with a 2.5-liter V6 engine that produces 204 horsepower at 6,400 rpm and 185 lb-ft of torque at 4,800 rpm, and a 3.5-liter V6 delivers a more powerful 306 hp power at 6,400 rpm and 277 lb-ft of torque at 4,800 rpm.
Finally, after obtaining an updated suspension last year, the IS F 2012 receives a new, larger 19-inch forged wheel design, plus a brand new red leather-trim seats replacing orange combination / Black and the theme of interiors.
The IS F is powered by a 5.0-liter V8 engine offering 416 horsepower at 6,600 rpm and 371 lb-ft of torque at 5,200 rpm, connected to a gearbox eight-speed Sport Direct Change.
